You’re no doubt aware Anna Wintour supports stars from the world of sport via the cover of Vogue. Throughout her tenure at the helm of the American fashion bible, Wintour has endorsed the likes of Marion Jones, LeBron James, Naomi Osaka, Simone Biles, and Coco Gauff while Serena Williams has a total of four covers under her belt. Up next on the cover of Vogue with the unveiling of the Winter 2025 issue are Angel Reese and Gabby Thomas. The American professional basketball player and American track and field athlete both pose for Norman Jean Roy. Reese strikes a pose in a ruby red Versace number, as chosen by stylist Julia Sarr-Jamois. Gabby Thomas (also photographed by Norman Jean Roy) is captured in crisp black and white, dressed by stylist Yohana Lebasi in a fringed Sportmax top and Tory Burch shoes.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“NO! We only like fashion with sports when models and a few celebrities do editorials inspired by sports practices,” instantly declared DK92.

“Oh no. I was dreaming of some movie star on the cover, like Demi, Angelina or Pamela,” shared forum member jeje10.

“I don’t know anything about women’s basketball but it’s weird that Vogue didn’t pick Caitlin Clark, I thought she was supposed to be the big star?” Marc10 quizzed.

Ivancica commented: “I like Gabby Thomas, but not this cover, unfortunately!”

“I couldn’t care less about a sports cover but I don’t mind the first one with Angel Reese. I like the color scheme and styling,” admired kokobombon.

“The Angel Reese cover is the strongest out of the two. It doesn’t rock my world but it feels… fierce(?). I like the coloring, the stare (despite the weird-looking eyes), the movement of the hair, and how Reese is wearing that Versace. Overall, it’s strong and commanding,” vogue28 voiced.

Forum Members React to Rumors Donatella Versace Might Exit Versace as Creative Director
IMAGE | HARPERSBAZAAR.COM

Rumors have been rampant over recent weeks that Donatella Versace is to exit Versace as creative director. In December, sources reported that Italian fashion label (and Jimmy Choo) were being considered for sale by Capri Holdings, the parent company of both brands. Capri is reportedly working with the English bank Barclays to find buyers for the two brands. Donatella’s contract is reportedly up for renewal in February, and rumors are swirling within the industry that the contract will not be renewed. Donatella became creative director of the iconic Italian label (founded in 1978), following the untimely passing of her brother Gianni Versace in 1997. Over the past 27 years, Donatella has ultimately been responsible for countless cultural moments that have shaped the fashion world we know today.

Revisit the Versace Spring 2025 Show:

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Who can do this other then Donatella?” [brandon J pierre]

“It’d be such a pity if Donatella Versace stepped down. She IS the brand for me. Although it seems like they are stuck at the moment.” [Thefrenchy]

“She is definitely an icon of the brand. However, that gives the new CD a lot to work from as far as iconography and what she brought to the house in a fresh way. The tribute collection was the best and worst thing that happened to Donatella. After that she became stuck.” [reese06]

“I don’t think that Donatella Versace currently has a say in the design process (not for a while). It is probably a design team. Ricardo Tisci would be interesting!” [Pradaromance2025]

“I’m desperately ready for a new vision of Versace, but one that digs deep into what Versace really is about. I want the sexy and glamorous with slight hints of tacky Versace back with great craftmanship. I also want Atelier Versace back.” [Salvatore]

“Can you imagine the wealth of iconography her successor will have at their disposal?” [GoldenPetals]

Donatella Versace sure knows how to make a splash with the Versace advertising campaigns. After all, throughout 2024, the brand’s campaign imagery has been nothing short of buzz-worthy. The Spring 2024 campaign offering saw Donatella bring out supermodel icon Claudia Schiffer. Hollywood star Anne Hathaway has starred in two Versace Icons campaigns (alongside Cillian Murphy) while models Vittoria Ceretti and Loli Bahia took over the famous Chateau Marmont for Fall 2024. Next to make an appearance in a 2024 Versace campaign are Sabrina Carpenter and Alexandre Sarr. The American MTV VMA-winning singer and the French basketball player pose for photographer Rosie Marks in the Versace Eyewear campaign, highlighting the Medusa Biggie sunglasses (made famous by the late American rapper The Notorious B.I.G in the 90s).

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“It all just feels very… weak and cheap coming from a brand from Versace. Sabrina Carpenter looks fantastic, of course, but the concept (or lack thereof) and amateur photography from Rosie Marks falls short here. Should’ve stuck with Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott,” voiced vogue28.

“Agreed. The outcome is meh and boring,” echoed forum member fauxfashion.

Fashionsavvvvvy commented: “Sabrina Carpenter makes sense for Versace. However, she needs a better team because this is so meh!”

“She’s one of those girls you KNOW Gianni would’ve loved. Regardless, this is quite literally lackluster. I do love the pastels but it needs to be glossier. It’s a waste of Sabrina,” shared GoldenPetals.

“The only photograph that I like of Carpenter is the first. All the rest, including, the shots of Sarr are terrible,” noted MModa.

Vogue France November 2024 : Anne Hathaway by Quentin de Briey
IMAGE | FACEBOOK/VOGUEFRANCE

We’ve begun to have a love/hate relationship with Vogue France. Throughout 2024, covers with Anok Yai and Vivienne Rohner have enthralled us to no end. On the opposite end of the scale, covers starring Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Celine Dion, and Sophie Marceau have felt like total missed opportunities. Vogue France head of editorial content Eugénie Trochu drops Anne Hathaway as the magazine’s cover star for November 2024. No stranger to the cover of Vogue, the American actress and muse of Donatella Versace poses for photographer Quentin de Briey. Tonne Goodman was enlisted as cover shoot stylist, who opted to dress Hathaway in an asymmetrical black Versace dress and Bulgari jewelry for the occasion of Anne’s debut French Vogue cover appearance.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Wow! Such a shame. Anne Hathaway is so beautiful and this is the shot they chose to run? For a cover?” immediately questioned RMDV.

“Wow, we need to start investing in the lighting crew. This ain’t no cover image,” shrieked aracic.

” A brick wall painted white. We’re never getting a cover with a budget again, are we?” sighed an underwhelmed forum member Lucien112.

Mepps noted: “It’s all so depressing!”

“Why would they do this to her? This is absolutely depressing. Just looks lazy… the lighting, styling, everything!” declared justaguy.

“It’s so Porter Magazine. Vogue France completely lost its identity,” scolded Marc10.

“Anne’s sleepy face says it all,” said jeje10.

Donatella Versace still holds Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott in high regard. After all, the photographic duo were called upon to capture their ninth consecutive mainline Versace advertising campaign for the Fall 2024 season. Now, unsurprisingly, M&M were commissioned to capture the second installment of the Versace Icons campaign. In April, Anne Hathaway and Cillian Murphy became the faces of the capsule collection and it’s a repeat performance from the two Hollywood talents with the second Versace Icons offering. There’s no change in concept this season, with the pair posing for M&M throughout the minimalist campaign installment, set against classic and clean, grey and white backdrops.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“When you party all night and stay up for your photo shoot at 9AM,” cried out GivenchyHomme.

“I love Cillian and Anne but what the hell is this? Terrible styling,” svpernova shreiked.

“Something about Anne’s expression. This whole thing feels flat. Goes to show that most celebs do not know what to do if they are not given direction,” noted forum member jeremydante.

Sharing the same sentiments was woemwoem. “Anne Hathway has never looked good in a fashion photo. Her features just don’t work well for the medium. Just as some models who look great in photos look meh on film,” they shared.

Not everyone was left so dissatisfied. “I actually love the hair and makeup. It’s definitely a Versace element,” reasoned GoldenPetals.

“I am far more on board with this, as opposed to the Fall 2024 campaign, which was a complete flop. This feels far more Versace in comparison. Very reminiscent of the Richard Avedon campaigns but I’m not complaining. That shot of Anne Hathaway in the chainmail dress is heavenly!” voiced vogue28.

Welcome back to theFashionSpot’s Top Picks shopping series, where we shine a spotlight upon the collections of just about every major fashion house. We’ve since taken a deep dive into the Fall/Winter 2024 collections – particularly those of Alexander McQueen, Moschino, Fendi, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Chloé, Prada, and Tom Ford. Up next… the Versace Fall 2024 collection.

Back in February during Milan Fashion Week, Donatella Versace was heavily influenced by the punk movement. The vast showspace was dressed in a plush black shag carpet and a white staircase, with a soundtrack of Siouxsie Sioux blasting out the speakers. A handful of models sported spiked hair and heavy eyeliner, while others were styled with poker-straight hair. The collection’s color palette was mostly in black, white, and red. Tweeds and signature Versace metallic made an appearance too, with the collection closing out with a series of desirable chainmail dresses.

From a single-breasted tweed blazer (and matching mini skirt) to the new Versace Kleio shoulder bag crafted from smooth plongé nappa leather – scroll further for theFashionSpot’s top picks from the Versace Fall 2024 collection:

#1 Tweed Masculine Blazer:

A single-breasted wool-blend tweed blazer crafted in a micro windowpane pattern. Medusa ’95 hardware and a jacquard Versace tailoring label detail the fully lined sartorial style ($3,350.00).

Sabrina Carpenter looked stunning in a Versace gown as she walked the Time 100 Next Gala 2024 red carpet on Wednesday. The outfit made a statement with its unique aluminum metal mesh fabric. The shimmery fit featured a strapless sweetheart neckline and thigh-high slit. Sabrina Carpenter’s slim-fit dress hugged her curves perfectly, cinching in beautifully at the waist.

The “Please Please Please” hitmaker’s gown stretched to the floor, with its corset-like bodice ensuring the minimalistic look didn’t lose its form. She paired it with an aluminum metal mesh scarf styled backward. Carpenter went with an all-silver look for the gala, rocking matching platform heels with a peep toe design.

Her beauty choices tied the look together, as her blonde hair styled in dramatic waves added a touch of Old Hollywood charm to the otherwise cool-toned gown. For makeup, she went with her signature look, with red-hued lips and a pop of blush. Carpenter kept her jewelry choices minimal, opting for a chunky stone-encrusted ring and another with her initials “SC.”

Sabrina Carpenter was one of the honorees and performed at the gala. Earlier this month, she graced the cover of TIME Magazine along with Jaylen Brown and Aisha Nyandoro. Keeping up her Old Hollywood charm, the “Espresso” singer posed fabulously in an archival Victoria’s Secret gown in red. The dress, which was worn by Naomi Campbell, was part of the 1997 runway collection. The piece features an embellished heart at the front and a massive bow at the back to add intrigue to the overall look.

Three down, one to go and that’s a complete wrap on the Spring 2025 season of Milan Fashion Week. Officially running from September 17-23, this season of MFW most definitely has us in a chokehold here at theFashionSpot.

Report: Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025

The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana looked to Kim Jones at Fendi to open up the Milanese fashion festivities. Ahead of Fendi’s monumental 100th anniversary in 2025, the designer looked back to the Roaring Twenties. At Marni, Francesco Risso’s showcase was soundtracked by a group of piano players. The designer presented a collection focusing on ruffles, volumes and dresses reminiscent of elaborate prom dresses, celebrating his ninth year as creative director. Alberta Ferretti displayed airy fabrications enhancing the movement of the body, helping get day one of Milan Fashion Week off to a fine start.

Day two of Milan Fashion Week began with Antonio Marras, unveiling a collection inspired by the 1950s. The lineup consisted of statement looks including XL skirts and hats made of raffia, and prints of tropical landscapes and palm trees. Ombré silky separates, vintage car prints, and neutral office-ready tailoring were served up by Luke and Lucie Meier at Jil Sander while Daniel Del Core doubled down on the sheer trend and invited supermodel Naomi Campbell to close his show. Speaking of supermodels, Fausto Puglisi paid tribute to the late Roberto Cavalli with a brigade of the designer’s favorite model muses.

Inspired by the discipline of scientists and mathematicians, the sleek and sophisticated collection of Ian Griffiths of Max Mara paid homage to Alexandrian philosopher and teacher Hypatia. For spring, Prada co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons looked to gowns in vibrant hues, futuristic eyewear, patterned knits, and revived old Prada classics for footwear. At a venue surrounded by hanging clothes, Adrian Appiolaza unveiled his sophomore womenswear collection for Moschino – where the ordinary became extraordinary.

Tod’s creative director Matteo Tamburini found inspiration for spring in a journey through the Mediterranean coast. Mid-afternoon on September 20 during Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025, Sabato De Sarno exhibited his third mainline womenswear offering as Gucci creative director. Perhaps the most anticipated event on the Milan Fashion Week calendar, the designer honed in on his love for the silhouettes of the 1960s and gave them a modern twist. At Versace, Donatella referenced the Spring 1997 Versus collection and reimagined the prints from the archive.

Inspired by ballerinas, cross-crossed cardigans, tights, bodysuits, or ribbon ballet shoes were on full display at Maximilian Davis’ Ferragamo. The iconic Italian design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana paid homage to the equally as iconic Madonna for the Spring 2025 Dolce & Gabbana collection, complete with the iconic cone bra and models sporting blonde wigs in a nod to the queen of pop’s Blond Ambition tour. Matthieu Blazy gave power dressing a whole new, playful meaning with his latest offering for Bottega Veneta, essentially closing out Milan Fashion Week in high style.

HIT | Tod’s

“Quiet luxury done right.” [LadyJunon]

“Love this! Even the shower curtain gowns at the end!” [youthinasia]

“I want everything. Even the set design is cleverly done. Obviously Matteo Tamburini has less archive to play around with but certainly they want to project the craftsmanship luxury for the brand. Yes for everything.” [TaylorBinque]

MISS | Moschino

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025

“I can’t believe this is only Adrian Appiolaza’s second collection. I am bored already. There is no theme here, an extremely unforgettable parade of expensive clown clothes.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

“Can’t believe I’m saying this, but this actually makes me appreciate Jeremy Scott. This brand is only ‘good’ when it’s dumb and childish, which was Scott’s main talent. Whenever someone tries to go into a Betsy Johnson or Sonya Rykiel direction it never ends up being very good because it renders the brand unnecessary.” [GoldenPetals]

“When I see collections like this I wonder how someone could have the nerve to call themselves a fashion designer.” [GivenchyHomme]

HIT | Max Mara

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“It works! Straight to the point, efficient, well styled. On point!” [Lola701]

“One of the brands that delivers season after season. Just enough glamour, opulence, and sexiness to everything.” [tourbillions]

“I’m in love with this collection, just as much as the vast majority. Divine, absolutely divine from the opening look to that closing look on Vittoria Ceretti. From the set to the styling it’s all just so chic, effortless, and utterly immaculate. One of the standout shows from Milan Fashion Week, without a shadow of a doubt.” [vogue28]

HIT | Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“One of Lorenzo Serafini’s best collections in a long time.” [Lola701]

“Some dresses are stellar!” [disco54]

“I really like almost every single look. It looks like what Chemena Kamali did at Chloé, except done right instead of what she actually produced.” [philophile]

MISS | MM6 Maison Margiela

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Normally I always like something from MM6, because they always keep a bit of the original Margiela spirit, but this! Especially if you watch the video. It’s like Y2K’s Baby Phat all over again. And the music didn’t help to recreate that vibe.” [philophile]

“There is something Philipp Plein or Dsquared2, in a sl*tty Y2K trash-reality TV vibe.” [yslforever]

“This looks more Diesel than Margiela. Generic garments with some light archival regurgitation. They need new ideas to make Margiela evolve.” [jeanclaude]

HIT | No.21

“This is STUNNING!” [TianCouture]

“Finally, something good to eat! Obsessed with that brocade cocktail dress/striped scarf combo! I love this.” [IsabelMarantBoy]

“I watched this show live and the collection was so fun, joyful and delicious. It’s very 2000s Prada, but it’s done so well.” [LadyJunon]

MISS | Fendi

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“A slow-paced boring show of boring clothes with a terrible casting. Such a waste of resources. And this time, even Silvia’s accessories couldn’t save it.” [Lola701]

“This is really bad, and the bags are awful too.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

“Boring clothes, boring set and a parade of boring girls with dead eyes. The styling was hideous, whoever put models in those ugly boots should be jailed. Kim Jones really isn’t helping himself by showing an already soulless collection in such sterile space and casting girls that bring nothing.” [avonlea002]

HIT | Del Core

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Maybe Daniel Del Core’s most subtle collection! Very pleasing.” [Lola701]

“More Jil Sander than the current Jil Sander, and I love it.” [yslforever]

“He’s one of my favorite designers (if not my favorite at the minute) and even if this is slightly tamed for what I was expecting, it’s still really amazing! Naomi looked so stunning that I forgot how fed up I was of seeing her! Breathtaking!” [WAVES]

MISS | Jil Sander

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“10 years after and Lucie Meier and Luke Meier still don’t have a f*cking clue about Jil Sander.” [helmutnotdead]

“Yikes. It’s so stuffy and unflattering. At this point just throw the whole brand away.” [GoldenPetals]

“Everything but Jil Sander (as always). Lucie Meier and Luke Meier destroy the brand image with collections like this one. Horrible oversized jackets with huge shoulder pads falling…horrible prints and stupid ornaments.” [jeanclaude]

MISS | Roberto Cavalli

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“The beginning was weird and full of copies. Very limited and one note. Then, Puglisi ran wild with the prints. The random homage could’ve been better incorporated or reflected throughout the show. It’s giving tacky. We’re missing the party, the glamour, the zest of life. Where is the excitement, confidence, enthusiasm?” [TerraVera]

“The models carried the show literally. The clothes were a shadow of the high-octane glamour of Roberto Cavalli.” [disco54]

“The problem with referencing Cavalli is that people can look up the old shows, compare and be disappointed. Cavalli was a master of glamour but also of leather. There was substance.” [Alquimista]

HIT | Dolce & Gabbana

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“This collection isn’t just Madonna coded, it’s Madonna from start to finish. An amazing tribute to her, and so appropriate that she was in the front row.” [mepps]

“It’s a very nice hommage. After all, Madonna was very instrumental in their success.” [Lola701]

“I like this collection a lot probably because it has allure and sultriness of Monica Bellucci in Malena!” [JohannesL]

MISS | Gucci

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“The show was a disaster. First look and I already knew it was a flop. The basicness of it. And those tracksuit-inspired pants oh dear. Seriously, Sabato De Sarno has zero vision for the brand. This collection was just a bunch of uninspired clothes put together with no emotion, no direction.” [Frederic01]

“So basic and generic! No POV at all. It’s many things mixed together to hide the lack of vision. Gucci needs somebody with a real vision. This could be a Zara fashion show.” [Creative]

“This was a trunk show. De Sarno showed everything under the sun so ultimately, everybody is going to find something they like. I find it decent verging on boring. A non-event.” [Lola701]

MISS | Versace

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“I’m so tired of Donatella at this point. Everything she’s done in the last decade has either been a sh*tty archive rehash or a even sh*ttier attempt at being ‘Sexy Prada’.” [LadyJunon]

“What a lovely Missoni collection.” [Magic Spells]

“What in the identity crisis was that? It looked like a bad Versus collection that has been rotting in the warehouse since late 90’s. The draping numbers towards the end were offensive. Donatella should retire.” [avonlea002]

MISS | Boss

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Ouch. What a snoozefest.” [90sfan]

“Yawn. Why is spring heavy and dark this season? The energy of Milan is exhausted and autopilot.” [TerraVera]

“I’m sorry, I fully stopped taking this seriously after seeing that one TikTok dude who’s famous for pulling a weird face come out in look #12. What the actual.” [Mr-Dale]

HIT | Antonio Marras

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Gorgeous. Beautiful clothing, wonderful prints and color combinations.” [Nimsay]

“This stands out in a sea of minimalist Phoebe Philo and Prada copies. Nice to see high-fashion clothes actually made for adults.” [tourbillions]

“The look with the straw hat and straw skirt combo made me gasp. Love it!” [philophile]

HIT | Marni

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Probably Francesco Risso’s best collection ever and possibly his closest to the spirit of Marni.” [Lola701]

“This is gorgeous. I feel like THIS is how you do luxury in 2024. It’s both timeless and fresh. I love that comic book-like quality it’s got. It fits so well at Marni.” [GoldenPetals]

“I really loved this collection! It was much more pared down compared to his previous offering for the house and I think that’s a good thing.” [Ruito]

MISS | Bottega Veneta

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“A hodgepodge of ideas as per but this time it was even more disjointed. Still, no cohesion to be found in Matthieu Blazy’s collections. I found it boring. Still playing with the same motifs that he’s done to death.” [mteb123]

“I am very allergic to his BV. Everything is too heavy, cumbersome, rigid and strict. There is no ease, no sensuality.” [IloveDiorHomme]

“Very gimmicky. I think this is a collection of gimmicks with an excessive amount of fabrics. I think it’s time re-size things.” [Lola701]

MISS | Ferrari

“They forgot to put the engine into Rocco Iannone’s Ferrari…” [jeanclaude]

“Ferrari need to hire someone very relevant in the fashion conversation and relaunch this project. If they want any real shot at being a serious contender in fashion…” [tourbillions]

“For me, Ferrari as a fashion brand is not working.” [Lola701]

HIT | Sportmax

“When did Sportmax get this… decent? It’s quite beautiful.” [GoldenPetals]

MISS | The Attico

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Can’t stand it. And why new designers think it’s cool and underground to mix a bomber jacket with night dress? It’s so passe and not cool, sorry.” [Creative]

“For a brand called The Attico, this looks like it has been stored in a basement for a very long time…” [jeanclaude]

“I will not remember much of this within the next 24 hours, unfortunately.” [Cocteau Stone]

MISS | Bally

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Yikes, the tailoring is abysmal.” [avonlea002]

“What is this? Bally des Garçons? Comme des Bally? Hideous proportions and volumes, awful prints! What was the inspiration here… Quasimodo?? The disconnection with the image of the brand (the shoes) is abysmal.” [jeanclaude]

“The proportions and tailoring of those leather coats are killing me. They are so frumpy and unflattering.” [GivenchyHomme]

HIT | Alberta Ferretti

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“To the point and classic Alberta.” [Cocteau Stone]

“I like how Alberta knows her brand and her clientele, and still manages to contribute a little something here and there to the fashion discourse, like the pink dress.” [ghostwriter10549]

“It’s all just so beautiful and so quintessential Alberta Ferretti, and I’m quite fond of the splashes of vivid bold color throughout the neutral collection.” [vogue28]

HIT | Diesel

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Diesel continues to be a standout each Milan Fashion Week season for how they are approaching show production and it’s what makes fashion exciting.” [jeremydante]

“The longer shapes with the fringe are a nice experiment.” [Cocteau Stone]

“I find it fantastic! It’s probably my favorite collection Glenn Martens did for Diesel. While Diesel is totally not my aesthetic, I think the collection was strong. It was well executed. Martens pushed everything to the max, it was tacky but with inventive ideas. It’s really fantastic!” [Lola701]

MISS | Ferragamo

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Sadly I don’t see any future here.” [helmutnotdead]

“I see Lemaire, Bottega and Dior by MGC but no Ferragamo. And I really don’t know who Maximilian Davis is creatively speaking. The POV is so weak that it feels non-existent.” [GivenchyAddict]

“This collection doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. I can’t see why a buyer would choose this when similar options are already out there. Honestly, your money would be better spent at Bottega Veneta or Loewe, where you’re getting more bang for the buck.” [GivenchyHomme]

Since September 17, we’ve been engrossed in Milan Fashion Week. This Spring 2025 season is shaping up the be a one for the books. Following our first round-up of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025, it’s time to take a deep dive into the second portion of this season’s jam-packed calendar the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana granted us.

Sabato De Sarno staged his third mainline womenswear offering as Gucci creative director, further displaying his love for the silhouettes of the 1960s – giving them a modern twist. Donatella Versace looked back to the Spring 1997 Versus collection, updating the prints from the collection this season, and presented within the historic grounds of the Sforzesco Castle. Inspired by Ballerinas, Maximilian Davis at Ferragamo delighted with fashion crowd with an assortment of cross-crossed cardigans, tights, bodysuits, or ribbon ballet shoes. At Diesel, Glenn Martens covered the runway in pounds of denim remnants, and displayed frayed and distressed separates. The iconic Italian design duo that is Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana gave the ultimate tribute to their forever muse: Madonna. Closing out MFW with a bang, Bottega Veneta’s Matthieu Blazy continued to demonstrate his eye for proportions, textures, and tonality.
