Last night, as the Spring 2025 season of Milan Fashion Week winds down, The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) hosted its annual Sustainable Fashion Awards. This year’s annual CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards took place in the metropolitan Italian city on September 24, awarding brands and organizations for their commitment to sustainable fashion. Diesel was awarded the Ellen MacArthur Foundation Award for Circular Economy. President of Diesel, Renzo Rosso, was at hand to accept to award, recognizing the redesign of Diesel products and the expansion of the brand’s circular business models.

New York Fashion Week just wrapped. London Fashion Week is a-go. The 2024 Toronto International Film Festival remains in full swing, and last night bestowed upon us the 2024 MTV VMA Awards.

More commonly abbreviated to as the VMAs, this year’s showcase was held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 11, 2024 and commemorated the event’s 40th anniversary. The splashy showcase of the best musical talents from across the globe, the night generated performances from Sabrina Carpenter (who performed at the award show for the second year in a row, and embraced all things space and extraterrestrial), Shawn Mendes (performing Nobody Knows) and Chappell Roan who took to the stage in medieval battle gear.

Earlier in the night, it was the red carpet arrivals at the 2024 MTV VMA Awards which truly commanded our attention most. Sabrina Carpenter dazzled upon her arrival, having opted for a vintage beaded Bob Mackie creation, originally worn by Madonna to the 1991 Oscars. Slap bang in the middle of the fashion festivities that is New York Fashion Week Spring 2025, the stars came out for the 2024 Kering Caring for Women dinner. This year’s splashy event marks the third of its kind, following the inception of The Kering Foundation’s Caring for Women initiative in 2022. The event is aimed at raising funds and awareness in support of the nongovernmental organizations that work to end gender-based violence. Last year’s Kering Caring for Women event raised over $3 million and benefited organizations in order to break the intergenerational cycle of violence.
