Vogue Taiwan perhaps doesn’t receive the recognition it deserves here on theFashionSpot. Like most other Euro editions of Vogue, Vogue Germany has become a shadow of its former self over recent years. However, under the direction of current head of editorial content Kerstin Weng, the German fashion bible has been planted firmly on our radar throughout 2024. The fashion world has been waiting with bated breath since June, sat perched in suspense as to who would replace Virginie Viard as Chanel creative director. Viard served as the creative force behind Chanel since 2019, following the passing of the late Karl Lagerfeld. Names like Hedi Slimane and Simon Porte Jacquemus were reportedly considered as candidates, sending the rumor mill into overdrive after Viard’s abrupt departure. Yet true to recent heavy speculation, Matthieu Blazy has landed himself one of the most coveted jobs in fashion as Chanel creative director. Prior to the Chanel announcement dropping, Blazy was only announced to be exiting his role at Bottega Veneta mere moments earlier. The French-Belgian designer, who has served as Bottega Veneta creative director since November 2021, is set to join the fabled French fashion house in early 2025 and will present his debut show in October.

The somewhat formal set comprised a cropped, black coat with white collars and cuffs and a matching skirt with side buttons. She buttoned up the coat to her neck as her hair fell perfectly over her shoulders.

The singer wore a pair of black tights and white open-toe heels with ankle straps. In addition, Gomez pulled off the look with her usual glam in a minimal look and accessorized with rings. At the event, she playfully posed and graciously smiled for the cameras while flaunting one of the widest smiles.

It further displayed little black and blue embellishments throughout the dress, giving it a more holiday-ready look.

It also featured two cute pockets on both sides. The bodice of the dress fits the actor beautifully. From the waistline, the dress had a subtly loose fit, making it a boxy-style number. The sleeveless dress showed off Grande’s intricate arm tattoos as well. Ariana Grande styled the Chanel mini dress with a pair of black sheer stockings and black pointed-toe heels. They gave the outfit an edgy feel while flaunting the artist’s toned and gorgeous legs.

She accessorized the look with a pair of sparkly and dainty hoop earrings and rings. Another big highlight of the look was the hair accessory — a black hair bow. The singer kept her hair in a sleek updo and flaunted a side part. The black hair bow was placed right on top of the updo, making the hairstyle perfect for the holiday season. Chanel is still without a creative director, following the abrupt departure of Virginie Viard in June. Rumors remain rife within the industry that Bottega Veneta’s Matthieu Blazy is set to be announced as Viard’s replacement. Today, on December 3, the house of Chanel ventured to Hangzhou, China to present its Métiers d’art collection for Pre-Fall 2025. More than 1000 guests lined the runway (including brand ambassador Lupita Nyong’o), as models emerged from backstage and out onto the runway at nightfall. Staged adjacent to the majestic waters of the West Lake, the Chanel design studio team blended traditional Chinese garment detailing with a 70s Western flare. The Chanel Pre-Fall 2025 collection was ultimately inspired by the treasured Coromandel screens in the iconic Rue Cambon apartment of Mademoiselle Gabrielle Chanel (one even features the city of Hangzhou and its famous lake).
