]]>Michelle Yeoh made a dazzling appearance at the star-studded gala for the 2025 National Board of Review Awards. On January 7, the Academy Award-winning actor graced the red carpet wearing a stunning sleeveless ensemble in black. Her outfit showcased sheer fabric and shimmery detailing, which added more glamor to the chic and elegant look. The “Wicked” actor looked gorgeous in this dress. The gala was held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
Michelle Yeoh commanded attention with her stylish outfit when she arrived at the National Board Of Review Awards Gala 2025. She opted for a black sleeveless see-through ensemble which featured a high neckline. The subtly loose fit top of the ensemble displayed sparkly faux fur details laid out artistically. The dress further showed a long black skirt with a flowy nature. The skirt had stunning sequinned embellishments throughout. The intricate adornments of the ensemble added a touch of drama to the actor’s look.
Michelle Yeoh paired the dress with pointed-toed matching black pumps. As for accessories, she chose to flaunt a pair of striking earrings. The green hue of the jewelry perfectly complemented the black dress. The actor also wore a sparkly bracelet, a few beautiful rings, and a gorgeous watch to complete the look.
When it came to makeup, Michelle Yeoh kept it simple yet glamorous. The look included subtly light eyebrows, defined eyes, a subtle pink blush on the cheeks, and a glossy peachy pink lip. She wore her dark hair loose in waves and went for a side part.
Apart from Michelle Yeoh, several other noteworthy celebrities also attended the 2025 gala for the National Board of Review Awards. The list included Elle Fanning, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Nicole Kidman, Mikey Madison, Jeremy Pope, Jesse Eisenberg and more.

]]>The post Michelle Yeoh Debuts Blonde Bob in Glamorous Balenciaga Gown at ‘Wicked’ Premiere appeared first on theFashionSpot.
]]>Michelle Yeoh underwent a significant hair transformation, debuting a blonde bob and wearing a glamorous Balenciaga gown at the “Wicked” premiere. During Saturday night’s red carpet event in Los Angeles, Yeoh looked almost unrecognizable in her new hair and embellished black gown. She also accessorized the floor-length outfit and bold hair with a heavy diamond choker and a huge diamond ring. All in all, the actor oozed Old Hollywood glam while channeling bits of her on-screen character, Madame Morrible.
At the “Wicked” L.A. premiere, Michelle Yeoh posed a closely resembling look to that of Dean Madame Morrible. Yeoh sported a heavily decorated Balenciaga gown from the luxury fashion house’s FW24 collection. However, it was her hair transformation that stole the spotlight completely. The Oscar winner seemingly stepped away from her natural dark hair toward a blonde look.
In one of the most striking hair transformations, Yeoh’s blonde bob look for the “Wicked” premiere is one for the books. Her voluminous bob had a side-parting with the sharp waves not extending beyond her neck. Moreover, the Malaysian actor looked glamorous in the eye-catching Balenciaga ensemble that appeared witchy and pronounced simultaneously. The 62-year-old accessorized the getup with a diamond choker and a matching ring, delivering bold poses on the red (black considering the film’s theme) carpet.
As per E! News, on the “Wicked” premiere’s red carpet, Michelle Yeoh told Zuri Hall and Justin Sylvester that she has yet to watch the movie. “As you know, I haven’t even seen the film yet, so I am beyond excited,” remarked Yeoh. In addition, she thanked other attendees for “showing up” for yet another big moment in her life. The upcoming fantasy film is Yeoh’s first musical, which initially caused nervousness for her until she learned to enjoy the process.

]]>It’s the first Wednesday after the first Monday in May, and we’re still buzzing from the spectacle that was the 2024 Met Gala. Earlier this week, stars from the world of fashion, film, music and beyond descended upon New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in honor of the opening of the highly-anticipated “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit.
Dressed to the nines in their finery, Anna Wintour’s handpicked A-list attendees showcased their interpretations of “The Garden of Time” dress code (inspired by a short story from 1962 of the same title by J.G. Ballard) – and some DRASTICALLY missed the mark.
From Michelle Yeoh’s “aluminum foil” Balenciaga dress and Lizzo’s seriously questionable getup from Paris-based designer Victor Weinsanto to Rita Ora missing the mark (understatement) in barely-there Marni and Zoë Saldana stepping out looking more Coachella-ready as opposed to Met Gala-ready in a look from Chemena Kamali’s debut Chloé collection – here’s theFashionSpot’s worst-dressed of the 2024 Met Gala:

]]>You may find it hard to believe that Balenciaga never had any official brand ambassadors on its rolodex until July of this year, and started off with Isabelle Huppert and Krit Amnuaydechkorn. Added to that list is Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, who makes her official debut as ambassador to the storied Paris-based fashion brand with the unveiling of the Spring 2024 advertising campaign. Photographed by Tyler Mitchell and with Suzanne Koller on styling duties, Yeoh is accompanied by models Eva Herzigova, Soo Joo Park, Malgosia Bela, Arthur del Beato and Khadim Sock. The cast assemble on location together within the French capital and under the night sky, pose with Paris’ iconic Place Vendôme location as the backdrop.
Members of our forums soon began debating over the outcome of Balenciaga’s latest campaign series. “These literally look like selfies,” GoldenPetals critiqued straight away.
“I like the idea but it looks quite cheap,” Creative chimed in.
“No budget at all,” voiced a majorly underwhelmed Nimsay.
“I thought it was a lookbook!” exclaimed zacatecas570.
Vogue28 wasn’t buying it either. “It’s all just so underwhelming and feels like a total non-event. The hype surrounding this brand is truly starting to die down and it’s starting to show,” he wrote.
“Yes, no/low budget, selfies, even an afterthought. And still leagues more creative, expensive-looking and high fashion than whatever American/British/French/Italian Vogues have been churning out,” defended Phuel.
WAVES was quick to defend the campaign too, commenting: “Low budget or not it fits the actual aesthetic of the brand. I’m not expecting much more from Balenciaga.”
